By August 10th, 2017No Comments

As the nation’s leader in retail recruitment and development consulting, The Retail Coach has been tapped by organizations throughout the U.S. to provide member educational sessions at annual conferences and other industry events.

In recent months, the executive team, including CEO C. Kelly Cofer and Senior Vice President Aaron Farmer and Directors of Retail Strategy Scott Emison and Bryce London, have been guest speakers at annual conferences such as the Texas Economic Development Council and the Mississippi Municipal League and will be presenting at many more this summer and fall including the annual conferences of the Illinois Municipal League, Tennessee Economic Development Council and Maine Municipal League.

Other educational offerings by The Retail Coach include a corporate webinar series and those presented in conjunction with organizations such as the International City/County Manager’s Association, of which The Retail Coach is an executive partner.
“Serving as speakers and instructors is an opportunity to give back to the industry and also stay in tune with what’s occurring at the local level in the communities we are working in throughout the U.S.,” said Cofer.

The webinar presented on July 28 with ICMA focused on revitalizing retail from Main Street to the suburbs. ICMA member and Navasota, Texas, City Manager Brad Stafford joined the presentation to provide a city perspective on the topic. The webinar may still be accessed from ICMA’s website at www.icma.org under the University section. Attendees receive 1.5 hours of continuing education credit.

The Retail Coach’s next webinar in its ongoing series will be offered August 2 at 10 a.m. CDT. The session is free and will address many topics including:

* The Retail Trade Area: Prove Up Your Maximum Customer Base
* Demographics & Psychographics: Illustrate Customer Preferences
* Live Here vs. Work Here: New Attitudes Drive New Retail Needs

“Being involved in our industry with national and state organizations is very important to us,” said Cofer, who leads his company with over 29 years experience in all aspects of retail real estate and economic development.

“Retail and its role in economic development continue to spur a great deal of interest among local elected and appointed officials,” said Farmer. “Most of our sessions are standing room only, and we really enjoy this opportunity to connect with professionals from all over the country.”
